Through the fall of 2018 and spring of 2019, the Mid-Michigan District Health Department along with Montcalm County regional partners contracted One-Community Consulting services to assess the feasibility of a source identified local food aggregation, distribution and marketing social enterprise. In this work, O-CC is assessing area supply and demand from farmers, retail, wholesale and institutions for public health and economic outcomes. Following research findings, a tailored business model was developed with focus on the triple bottom line.
